Sacha Waxman
Sacha read law at the University of Manchester, obtaining an LLB (Hons) and MA in 2005. After then completing the Legal Practice Course, she joined the firm in 2006 as a Trainee Solicitor and was subsequently admitted as a Solicitor in 2008. Since then, Sacha has specialised in criminal defence work and has a wealth of experience as a defence advocate. She has been a Duty Solicitor for over a decade and is a Higher Court Advocate, working in the Crown Court.
Sacha is a respected advocate who has a reputation as a formidable opponent. She is a persuasive advocate and is known for her attention to detail and diligent case preparation, as well as excellent client care.
In 2017, Sacha completed a Ph.D at the University of Manchester, passing with no corrections. Her doctoral thesis centred on medical law and jurisprudence, which Sacha has published work in the field. Alongside her practice, Sacha is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Liverpool, teaching across a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has also been an Associate Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University and has taught at postgraduate level on the GDL and LPC at BPP Law School in Manchester and Liverpool. Her work in academia compliments her defence practice and keen attention to detail in her case load.
As well as conducting legally aided work she is also regularly sought out by private paying clients.
