Katie Southern

Katie is a dedicated paralegal at our Manchester Office. She brings a strong academic background to our team, holding a 1st Class degree in Law from the University of Birmingham. Currently, she is undertaking her Legal Practice Course with BPP, balancing her studies with practical training to become a solicitor.

Katie is in the process of acquiring her Police Station Accreditation. Once completed, she will be an Accredited Police Station Representative, capable of providing crucial advice to clients arrested on various charges. This role will allow her to represent clients at the Police Station, ensuring they receive the necessary support during these critical moments.

In her role as a Paralegal, Katie assists our solicitors with case preparation, client instruction, and court attendance. She is a regular presence at both the Magistrates and Crown Courts, providing invaluable support to our solicitors and barristers. Katie has aspirations to become a Higher Court Advocate, which would enable her to litigate in the Crown Court.

Katie’s passion for Criminal Defence Law stems from her belief in the importance of robust and empathetic representation for every individual accused of a crime. She is committed to upholding this principle in her work, ensuring that all clients receive the defence they deserve.
