Richard Atkinson elected as Deputy Vice President of Law Society

Tuckers congratulates Richard Atkinson, one of our partners, on his election as Deputy Vice President of the Law Society of England & Wales.

Richard is the Managing Partner of the Kent Branch and has been with Tuckers since 2013 following the merger with Tuckers of his previous firm which he joined as an articled clerk and went on to become its managing partner.

Richard will take office in October he will become Vice President in 2023 and President in 2024 when the Law Society will mark its 200th anniversary. “It is fantastic to have one of our partners as a future President of the Law Society and for the Society to have elected a Criminal Legal Aid practitioner to this position” said Barry Tucker, the Managing Partner of Tuckers Solicitors.

Richard said he would like to thank Barry and all the Partners and staff at Tuckers for their support which has allowed him to reach this position adding, “it is an enormous honour to represent the Solicitors profession and I look forward to working with Lubna Shuja and Nick Emmerson the next President and Vice President of the Law Society”.
