Legal Aid Cuts

Tuckers are pleased to be supporting FatRat Films in their efforts to raise the remaining funding that they require for their short film animation exposing the folly of legal aid cuts, indeed further legal aid cuts – if the next cut of 8.75% to criminal legal aid is implemented in the summer of 2015.

FatRat Films produced a powerful animated film (http://www.actofterrordocumentary.com) relating to the application of s58a Terrorism Act, which went viral on social media reaching out to a wide and previously untapped audience with regards the inequity in the application of the law by the police.  It is hoped that they can raise the finance to create an equally powerful piece on the impacts of legal aid cuts – when criminal legal aid practitioners need it most…in the run up to the General Election.
