Family pleased with “highly critical” verdict in Habib Ullah
The jury in the inquest relating to the death of Habib Ullah while in the custody of the Thames Valley police force has returned a narrative verdict which is highly critical of the conduct of police officers in the case. Marian Ellingworth, Head of Civil Liberties at Tuckers, has been representing the family of Mr Ullah in respect of an inquest that has only finally been completed 7 years after Mr Ullah’s death.
Whilst the family of Mr Ullah expressed their relief that this part of the process had finally concluded, and were pleased with the jury’s highly critical verdict of the actions of the Thames Valley police force which led to Mr Ullah’s death – their fight for justice continues on numerous fronts.
